Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Gasfix Pro collects, why, who sees it and what your rights are. We have tried to keep it plain.
1. Who we are
Gasfix Pro is a website and app of reference tools and business tools for gas and heating engineers. It is run by [your full name or company name, and registered address] (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at [contact email address]. ICO registration number: [add once registered].
2. Two different roles
- Your account details (your email address, sign in details, your plan): we decide how these are used, so we are the “controller”.
- Your customers’ details that you enter into Business Tools (names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, appliances, jobs, quotes, invoices and certificates): you decide what is entered and why, so you are the controller and we only store and process it for you. If you hold other people’s personal data for your business you will normally have your own duties under UK data protection law, including whether you need to register with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
3. What we collect

We do not ask for payment card details on this site. If paid plans are introduced, payments will be handled by a payment provider (we expect Stripe), and we will update this policy before then.
4. Our legal reasons
We use your account details to carry out our agreement with you (providing the service). We keep basic technical records because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and working. If we ever send marketing emails we will ask for your consent first.
5. Who else handles your information
We use these companies to run the service. They only act on our instructions:
- Supabase: stores accounts, the database and uploaded files. Data is held in [region of your Supabase project, for example London or EU West].
- Cloudflare: delivers the website and runs the small server programs it needs.
- GitHub: stores the website’s program code only. No user data is stored there.
- Anthropic (the Claude AI service): the site owner uses it to read manufacturers’ manuals and turn them into fault codes, procedures and readings. Your customer records and account details are never sent to it.
We do not sell your information. We only share it with the services above, or where the law requires it.
6. Cookies and similar storage
We store a sign in token and a few preferences (such as recently opened pages) in your browser so the site works and you stay signed in. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your permission where the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account and the records you enter until you delete them or ask us to delete your account. Some copies may remain in backups for a short time afterwards. Records that you are legally required to keep for your business (for example certificates) are your responsibility, so export your own copies.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to: see the personal information we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; and give you a copy in a usable format. Email [contact email address] and we will reply within one month. If you are one of an engineer’s customers, please contact that engineer first, as they decide how your details are used.
If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
9. Security
Accounts are protected by sign in, data is sent over encrypted connections, and each user’s private records are separated so that other users cannot see them. No online service can promise perfect security, so please use a strong password that you do not use anywhere else, and tell us straight away if you think your account has been misused.
10. Children
Gasfix Pro is for working professionals and is not intended for anyone under 18.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and we will tell you about important changes.
